Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual for this position who enjoys managing and developing people, streamlining processes, providing a high level of service, and welcomes the challenges that come with change and rapid growth.

The Accounting Team Lead will oversee and manage the e2E, LLC accounting team which includes Accounting Consultants and Accounting Specialists. Responsibilities include onboarding and training as well as ongoing coaching. The Team Lead will review and recommend updates to processes, which may include managing updates to process documents, and will manage or provide oversight to the team as they perform certain client related tasks. The Accounting Team Lead will provide Finance support as assigned by the Finance Practice Leader. This role works with entrepreneurial companies, providing a high-level of service partnered with a high attention to accuracy. This position plays a central role in managing the day-to-day administrative operations and is responsible for staffing assignments, quality standards, and internal team and external client experiences.

Job Description Summary:  Manage and provide oversight for an internal team of outstanding e2E Accounting Consultants who provide financial, accounting, payroll, bookkeeping and tax services to entrepreneurial clients. This position will also play a key role in the development of projections, budgets, and financial analysis for assigned clients and will assist client management teams in making educated economic decisions as well as provide recommendations to clients regarding the future financial condition of their businesses. The CFO Consultant reports directly to the Finance Practice Leader.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. 

  • Oversees and manages the team delivering all client accounting services including bookkeeping (AP/AR), compliance, accurate accounting, month-end duties, data analysis, financial statement preparation, financial monitoring, strategy, and other accounting services.
  • Hires, trains, and manages the team’s day-to-day operations.
  • Manages team performance and provides coaching that is timely and constructive.
  • Handles performance management, discipline, and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Owns and manages team onboarding, communication, development, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Manages accounting team structure, operations, and daily staffing assignments.
  • Coordinates with Accounting Onboarding team to ensure smooth transition from new client to accounting team.
  • Builds and optimizes scalable client accounting team processes, standards, and quality metrics.
  • Documents team processes and standards
  • Collaborates with internal staff to identify opportunities to improve the client experience, quality, internal team workflows, and/or efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and Accounting degree or concentration strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting.
  • 7+ years of related experience including bookkeeping, bank and credit card reconciliations, AP/AR accounting, payroll, monthly close, adjusting entries, financial statement preparation, financial analysis and monitoring, and other related experience.
  • 5+ years in a supervisory or management role.
