Jonathan excels at helping e2Es business owner clients focus on their trade as well as their growth. He believes a lot of great companies too often get distracted from focusing on their ideas, success and growth because the decision-makers are caught up in administrative work (such as accounting and finance). Through his CFO expertise, Jonathan enables business owners to take advantage of the opportunities in front of them. He brings a great listening ear and close attention to detail without losing sight of each clients long-term goals.
As a financial leader, Jonathan works to build trust in the accounting and finance departments from the owners down to the most part-time employee. Jonathan holds his CPA license and has also spent a total of five years as a tax software coder and an auditor as well as twelve years as a tax preparer, giving him a well-rounded view of any financial task at hand.
Jonathan has ten years of experience in private accounting, most recently as the CFO for the largest producing nursery in the state of Kansas. As a CFO and Controller, he has overseen the conversion and implementation of new accounting systems as well as the overhauling of financial systems to accomplish complete turnaround of the financial operations of businesses. In some cases, Jonathan achieved these results amid noteworthy growth both in sales and employees.
Having experienced growth both organically and through acquisitions, Jonathan understands the different challenges that come with each. As an instrumental party from inception to closing of the sales of two business units to a publicly traded company, Jonathan also understands the important considerations on the buy-side of a transaction.
Jonathan and his wife, Heather, have three young children. Together they enjoy developing their kids imaginations, exploring nature, gardening and fishing, and are actively involved at Lighthouse Presbyterian Church.
